Sound Investments

Sound Investments also designs and builds custom A/V furniture. The existing system in this house, had the tv and equipment stuck over in the corner to the right of the fireplace and parallel to its surface. To watch tv, everyone had to be jammed over in the corner against the wall. Sound Investments designed a cabinet that angles out into the room to allow more people to view the tv.  Unlike some a/v cabinets,we design systems with audio and video in mind. We go the great lengths to use materials that reduce vibration,design speakers that are meant to be in a cabinet( no rear firing ports) and last but not least, cool them using natural air flow (no noisy fans and wasted energy).  Here is a list of some of the special features this custom cabinet has.

• custom built left ,center ,right speaker bar housed at the top of the cabinet using audiophile quality components
• subwoofer is housed in the center of the lower cabinet. It incorporates a 12" driver powered by 500 watts
• the base under the subwoofer is a poured cement pad to reduce vibration of the cabinet
• the cabinet was built out of hickory and finished with a custom stain to match existing wood in the house
• vented using natural air flow
