The other day, I was in Best Buy and overheard a conversation between a customer and a sales person. The conversation went something like this. The sales person said, Now that you have selected a TV, lets look at cables. You could get this one that will just get you by for now. You could get this one that will cost a little more and it will be an improvement. Or if you want to get all the quality out of you brand new TV that you just spent all your hard earned money on, you NEED to get this "Outrageously expensive TOTALLY unnecessary Munster Cable". Now he didn't actually say outrageously expensive and totally unnecessary, but he might as well have. You see, at the Big Box stores, what they are selling is as many little boxes at the highest price they can get you to pay. And their experience, is how to up sell. They actually get a bonus or a special parking spot for doing it. At Sound Investments, we have a different approach. What we are selling, is an "EXPERIENCE" and our knowledge and training is in the science of electronics and sound. Once I arrive at a budget with a customer I then go to work selecting the absolute best components with the absolute best value. The products are packaged so that they all complement each other. Having a million dollar receiver with two dollar speakers is a waste of money. We thoroughly research each product in depth. Selection is based on things like value, ease of use, durability. Not what has the largest profit margin. Because we are selling an experience, we absolutely refuse to waste your money on a component or cable that will not improve on that experience. At Sound Investments, we survive by word of mouth. Nobody is going to tell their friends about the system because it had a cool looking name brand hdmi cable or an expensive power conditioner. They are going to tell their friends about the Killer Sound and Picture.
So if you want the best system your money can buy without the hype and brand name upsell, give us a call. Or better yet call one of our many very happy customers.
